School in the morning, school in the afternoon,..not so wunderful but today we’re going to present our projects!!

Everybody’s nervous but I’m optimistic they will do their best

After school we are going to visit the GUINNESS STORE HOUSE I hope that the souvenirs there are cheaper than at Carroll’s!!  This evening we don’t have such a busy schedule than the rest of the week.

Tmr is ST.PATRICK’s DAY and we are going to watch the parade and i heard that everybody’s turning crazy and in the city is a lot of drinking. We’ll see

A Seal in Howth

Howth

The sea!!

Then we went to Howth which is a peninsula on the north of Dublin.

There we saw lots of seals and we watched them while they were fed with fish by a woman.

We made a nice walk on the pier and afterwards we walked on the cliffs and we had a great view over the sea!

Later we got to know that for the Irish it was one of the hottest days ever and they told us that they even went swimming which was just unbelievable for us^^

So today we will just continue with our projects and we are already looking forward to the greyhounds racing in the evening

Our plane landed at ~23.15 Irish time. So everybody was tired but very excited to meet their host families. The next day we were tired again because we got to bed at about 1 o´clock in the morning. When we were at the bus stop we had to find out that you have to show the bus driver with your hand if you want to take his bus. The next challenge was to find the „Atlas Language School“ in Harcourt Street. After asking some people it was no problem to get in. We were cordially received by our language teacher Denise. Directly we started with our project work and created a structure.

In the afternoon Denise showed us the city center and Trinity College. We saw the book of Kells while 2 of us went to Dublin’s cemetery to meet a guide but unfortunately they missed the tour. So went to O’Connel street for a little bit shopping and there we met the 2 „lost“ girls when we took the bus home.

This evening everybody was glad to go to bed and sleeeeeeep

Saturday

This day we had our second day in school and did our questionnaires by asking people on the street. Some were very unfriendly but when we asked groups they were very nice and open-minded. One boy said he was 2 week ago in Vienna He spoke a little German and complained about the Austrian food because Schnitzel comes from Milano. All in all we were very successful with finding information.

In the evening we went to Dun Laoighaire Harbour with the so-called „Dart“, which is like a train. This was no problem for us as we walked very fast, so we stayed warm. We took looots of photos there with the wind in our hair and it was just beautiful to see the horizon although it was dark and late at night. In the end everybody was totally exhausted and fell asleep in the bus on our way home.

The following day we were happy to sleep in. We had to take the bus at 9.40  One longer night that the others

We’re really looking forward to our language trip. All of us have started with our project work already. Of course, we won’t do project work alone in Ireland. There’s time to explore the city and we also plan on seeing some sights and places. What I’m especially looking forward to is the walk on the coast. I always love seeing and feeling (at least with my feet – the water will be cold) the sea.

Another wonderful thing is that St.Patrick’s Day also takes place right when we are in Dublin.

So whatever we pack into our suitcases, we mustn’t forget some green clothes.

Hopefully the weather will be nice. Walking around in Ireland is much better when it doesn’t rain too much.

There’s just one thing left we don’t know yet: With which family are we going to stay?

I hope to get a host family with little children., it’s fun to hear little children talk in English.

But well, we’ll get that information soon anyway.
